Bridging Generations: Art, Culture, and the Heritage of Tomorrow

We are excited to announce the upcoming Erasmus+ Youth Participation Activity “Bridging Generations: Art, Culture, and the Heritage of Tomorrow”, which will take place at the beautiful Lake Plastiras, Greece, from 20–28 June 2026!

Funded by the Greek National Agency under the Erasmus+ programme and coordinated and hosted by Villagers of Greece, this international activity will bring together 30 participants from Greece, Italy, Spain, Poland, and Türkiye. Each country will be represented by six participants, creating a diverse and inspiring environment for learning, exchange, and collaboration.

Throughout the project, participants will explore the powerful connection between art, culture, and community development while discovering how rural communities can become vibrant spaces for creativity and active participation.

✨ Project Objectives

Explore community-led art initiatives
Discover how small rural communities use art and culture to foster participation, creativity, social inclusion, and local development.

Exchange good practices
Create a space for dialogue among youth workers, artists, and cultural organisations to share successful approaches that connect artistic expression with community identity and engagement.

️ Experience local culture and heritage
Learn how cultural heritage can inspire innovative forms of contemporary artistic expression and contribute to preserving local traditions for future generations.

Set against the stunning natural landscape of Lake Plastiras, this project will offer participants the opportunity to engage in workshops, discussions, cultural activities, and intercultural exchange while building lasting partnerships across Europe.

Together, we will explore how art can bridge generations, strengthen communities, and shape the heritage of tomorrow. ✨
