EPEKA was in Peru

As part of our STARRY – Solidarity Targeted Activities Run by Rising Youth project under the ESC Humanitarian Aid program, we carried out our Advanced Planning Visit (APV) in Peru from May 6 to 8, 2025.

Representatives from the supporting organisations EPEKA and Building Bridges were hosted by Brigada de Voluntarios Bolivarianos del Perú (BVBP) to prepare for the upcoming volunteering activities. The visit took place in the districts of Punta Negra, San Bartolo, and Lurín, where future ESC initiatives will be implemented.

The team visited local schools, volunteer housing, and educational centers to coordinate logistics, assess conditions, and ensure alignment with community needs. Meetings with local stakeholders helped strengthen partnerships and identify key areas for collaboration.

The volunteering activities in Peru will focus on women’s rights and gender equality, with ESC volunteers leading workshops, awareness campaigns, and empowerment programs for girls and women.
