Today, our 10 Turkish young people went to Sousse, Tunisia for a month with our European Solidarity Corps, Volunteering Teams in High Priority Areas Project “IPlan-et”, which has been granted by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). The project, which has our Tunisian partner, the Association Solidarite Echange et Developpement – ASED as a hosting organisation, consists of two flows and there are 10 Turkish and 12 Tunisians in each flow, total 44 volunteers. In the first flow, which will take 30 days, Turkish and Tunisian young people will take tasks of street, beach and underwater cleaning, planting flowers and trees, recycling workshops with kids and adults, forum theatre, wish board event, exhibition of recycled objects, making fictional movies about environment, screening documentary movies about environment, cleaning with bicycles in the rural areas, beach volley tournaments, sand castle competitions, quiz shows about environment and cultural nights. Our volunteers will participate in all of their activities with the inhabitants and the Municipality of Sousse, the University of Sousse and NGOs and private institutions: Colonie des Vacances Akouda, Club Nautique de Sousse, Majorettes de Sousse, Sos Villages D’enfants, Maison des Jeunes Kalaa Sghira, Association Feminine Sport Boules du Sahel, Organization National de Lenfance Tunisienne / Bureau Akouda will encourage Sousse people to participate in our activities.
