First week of “SEAL”

Our first week of the European Solidarity Corps, Volunteering Teams in High Priority Areas project “Sustainable Environment for the Aquatic Life – SEAL” funded by the European Commission started with team building games. Assoc. Prof. Barış Bayraklı from Sinop University, Department of Fisheries gave our participants lessons about the Black Sea life, factors polluting the Black Sea, and shipping and navigation. Our participants also took basic sailing lessons at the sailing club. They took knot lessons from Sinop University Underwater Technology Lecturer Recep Öztürk. Finally, we listened to Trimix diving stories from Sinop University Lecturer Ömer Salih Aslan and our legendary instructor Lecturer Yaşar Tarakçı, and his stories with white whale, Aydın.
