Our Volunteering Team is in Nepal

Within the scope of our STARRY Humanitarian Aid project under the European Solidarity Corps, funded by the European Commission – EACEA, Noemi Canabal Cerdeira, Nerea Nicolás Martínez, Anna Criado Rueda, Giulia Guccione, and Alessandra Moleri have started their activities in Nepal.

Within our Humanitarian Aid volunteering activities in Nepal, we aim to empower women in the Okhaldhunga district, located in the Everest region, by strengthening their access to rights, life skills, and economic opportunities with our volunteers. Through this activity, at least 100 women will be reached via women’s groups and micro-credit cooperatives active in the area.

Volunteer teams will support life skills education, focusing on communication and interpersonal skills, decision-making, problem-solving, critical thinking, stress management, self-awareness, self-esteem, and time management. These sessions will be delivered using non-formal education methods and tailored training materials to respond to local needs.

In parallel, the activity will promote women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship development. Volunteers will organize workshops on business planning, marketing, and financial management, as well as mentoring sessions with successful women entrepreneurs. Link-up meetings with microfinance institutions and public support programs will also be facilitated to improve access to resources and long-term opportunities.

We wish our volunteers success in all these assignments.
