Our European Solidarity Corps Volunteer Teams in High Priority Areas project \u201cSustainable Environment for the Aquatic Life \u2013 SEAL\u201d has been accepted by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). The project will focus on the threat of the rising pollution in the Black Sea on the marine ecosystem and human health. We will take action for the sustenance of the Black Sea ecosystem, especially to protect the dolphins that are now at the head of the food chain in the Black Sea by dedicating the project to the monk seal (monachus monachus) which has been extinct in the Black Sea since it was last seen in 1997. Within the scope of the project, young people with scuba diver and artist profiles from Turkiye, Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia, Spain, Portugal and Jordan will volunteer and collect waste from the bottom of the sea by scuba diving and snorkelling in Sinop for 37 days in the summer months of 2024 and 2025. They will carry out the cleaning, display the waste in public areas and on the internet, and open the curtain of the hidden truth beneath the surface of the Black Sea by shooting underwater films.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
