We were in Gerze again on the last day of our third week of our European Solidarity Corps, Volunteering Teams in High Priority Areas project \u201cSustainable Environment for the Aquatic Life \u2013 SEAL\u201d funded by the European Commission. This time, we cleaned the Gerze harbor with Sinop University Underwater Technology Department Academicians \u00d6mer Salih Aslan, Bora Ey\u00fcpo\u011flu, Recep \u00d6zt\u00fcrk and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zafer Karsl\u0131, students of Sinop University Underwater Technology Department and volunteers with diving badges from Spain, Jordan and Portugal. Among the items that were pulled out of the sea were carpets, beds, car tires, beverage cans and many plastic and metal wastes.<\/p>\n
