Annija Tamane is going to Zanzibar as part of our ESC Humanitarian Aid project \u201cSTARRY\u201d, funded by the European Commission!<\/p>\n

She will be actively involved in a wide range of community-based activities, contributing to education, youth empowerment, and women\u2019s development.<\/p>\n

At Assalam International School, Annija will support classes, co-teach, assist in art and science activities, and help children engage with permaculture gardens and educational excursions.<\/p>\n

At the Vocational Training Center, she will work with women in fields such as tourism and hospitality, culinary arts, sewing, and early childhood education, while also contributing to entrepreneurship skills training and basic English\u2014supporting their path toward economic empowerment.<\/p>\n

Through the Youth Center (Africamp), she will take part in impactful camps focused on leadership, teamwork, and self-confidence, reaching hundreds of adolescents, including orphans.<\/p>\n

At the Children University, Annija will facilitate weekend activities that foster creativity and critical thinking through art, sports, science, and drama.<\/p>\n

She will also contribute to outreach and permaculture activities\u2014traveling to remote villages to deliver educational programs, teaching sustainable practices, planting trees, and supporting eco-initiatives that benefit local communities.<\/p>\n

This experience will allow Annija to further develop her teaching, facilitation, and leadership skills while promoting intercultural exchange and solidarity.<\/p>\n
