Emire Yeniocak Begins Her ESC Volunteering Journey in Spain

EPEKA is pleased to send Emire Yeniocak to Associació Alba in Tàrrega, Spain, where she will take part in a 10-month volunteering project under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) programme.

Associació Alba is a social enterprise that supports people at risk of social exclusion in rural areas. Through community-based and personalized services in education, employment, housing, and social care, the organization promotes inclusion, equal opportunities, and independent living while helping people remain connected to their communities.

During her volunteering experience, Emire will support elderly people and individuals with support needs in their daily activities. Her tasks will include assisting during meal times, supporting personal hygiene routines, helping people move around, and participating in activities both inside and outside the center. She will also contribute to a variety of workshops and activities such as horse therapy, painting classes, theatre, sports, gardening, games, and social outings, helping create meaningful and engaging experiences for the participants.

We are confident that this experience will contribute greatly to Emire’s personal and professional development while making a positive impact on the local community. We wish her a rewarding and inspiring volunteering journey in Spain!
