Gözde is back home

Gözde Günel, who went to Portugal with our European Solidarity Corps Project “Time to Change” has come back home. Gözde, who went to our Portuguese partner ProAtlântico – Associação Juvenil as a volunteer for 10 months, organised activities which helped the cognitive and skill-oriented development of the disadvantaged children. She participated in the outdoor activities for their socialization. She was also involved the solidarity activities such as renovating and painting the public areas. She took part in the training courses for the personal development of ProAtlântico – Associação Juvenil, which is the hosting organisation. She learned Portuguese. She made friends with the volunteers from other countries and she found an opportunity to develop herself in the multicultural environment. She expressed our culture to the people she met in Portugal. This activity provided help both for the children with fewer opportunities and herself for her personal, social and occupational development. Many thanks to Gözde for her outstanding efforts in her activity.
