Yaren has come home

Yaren Güney, who went to Romania for 10 months with our European Solidarity Corps project “Carousel”, has come home. She organised fun and educational activities in the hosting organisation, Asociatia Forumul Cetatenesc pentru Actiune Sociala si Educatie Civica in Ramnicu Valcea, for the disadvantaged children and young people from kindergarten, middle school and high school. She performed activities for intercultural learning with several games. She organised raising awareness campaigns in order to find solutions to the social problems. She became the admin of the social media of the hosting organisation. She edited contents of photos and descriptions every day. She wrote a didactic theatre play in which she acted with her teammates. They performed the play so many times at schools. She learned Romanian. She developed her English. She participated actively in the teams with the volunteers from different countries and projects. She learned in a multicultural environment. She made a lot of friends from other volunteers and Romanians. This activity reinforced her personal, social and occupational development. Many thanks to Yaren for her outstanding efforts in her activity.
